A drama based workshop to engage with young people to show variety of jobs within the NHS, not just Doctors and Nurses or for those that are highly qualified. Three actors played school children looking in a hospital for their friend ‘Dave’ . They encounter many different professions in the hospital from IT, paramedic, phlebotomist, ODP through to gardener and newborn screening. This was a clever way to highlight many professions and encourage school children to look into the website ‘Step into NHS’. Performances have received very positive feedback from pupils and teachers which was highlighted at the end of the performance.
This workshop was well received and the audience enjoyed the humour and presentation style. The script was well written to ensure that a wide range of careers and entry pathways were featured in the performance
